Kickboxing is a combat sport in which striking, including kicks, elbows and knees are permitted. At the Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club, our members are exposed to offensive and defensive techniques in kickboxing to develop a stronger sense of awareness, ability, technical performance and fitness.
Members are given coaching and advice in combining them to form a true striking system. This class teaches at both a fundamental and advanced level of MMA style striking.

CATCH AS CATCH CAN WRESTLING/SUBMISSION GRAPPLING
Catch-as-Catch-Can is defined as “using or making due with whatever means are available." Jiu-jitsu translates to “the gentle art” and Judo translates to “the gentle way.” Catch as Catch Can Wrestling is regarded throughout the world as "the violent art," due to its agressive nature when compared to these other popular styles. It is also the father of Olympic Freestyle Wrestling (once commonly known as Amateur Catch as Catch Can) and Collegiate Folkstyle Wrestling.
This grappling art that is hundreds of years old which is comprised of takedowns, throws, ground based wrestling rides, breakdowns and transitions combined with a surplus of excruciating submission holds.
The term “No Holds Barred” originated with Catch Wrestling, as there are no illegal submissions, holds, pins or takedowns, which makes it extremely effective and efficient for both combat sports and self defense.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport, and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program provides training in both traditional BJJ and no-gi BJJ.
The techniques taught and practiced include positioning, transitions, control, defense, and submissions. Techniques are drilled and applied as fundamentals. All skill and fitness levels are welcome.
KID'S MARTIAL ARTS
Training in martial arts helps kids have more self-confidence, better self-discipline, and the ability to defend themselves. Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club provides Kid's Brazilan Jiu-Jitsu classes.
This women’s self-defense class is a one-hour class with a rotating curriculum, so you can start anytime. Every week starts with a brief education in a preventing a particular type of attack, followed by practice of a set of defenses and/or escapes. No previous experience is needed.
Please note that this is *NOT* a sport martial arts class. Its only focus is practicing practical self-defense techniques that are easy to learn and effective against larger attackers.
