Catch Wrestling Seminar
On November 17, 2018, Old School Grappling Catch Wrestling Association will provide a Catch Wresting seminar at Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club in Phoenix, AZ.
Old School Grappling Catch Wrestling Association's mission is to preserving the traditional art and Billy Robinson's concepts of Catch As Catch Can Wrestling.
Head Coach John Potenza will be leading the seminary. John is one of only seven people Billy Robinson promoted to Assistant Coach.
Catch Wrestling is a grappling style that was originally developed in the 1870s. Whereas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is referred to as “The Gentle Art”, Catch Wrestling is referred to as the “Brutal Art”. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners can up their game by adding an unexpected set of Catch Wrestling attacks, pins, and submissions.
During this seminar, the emphasis will be on Catch Wrestling for Brazilian Jui-Jitsu competition. You will learn how to work the “gray area” of Jiu Jitsu to your advantage using Catch Wrestling takedowns, pins and submissions.
The seminar is just $30 for non-Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club members. Admission for Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club members is just $20.
To register, contact Professor GIlbert Olivas at (480) 438-4389.
