We offer a politics-free, ego-free environment with an open door policy to anyone who has the interest or desire to train and learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling or Judo. Whether it be for competition, hobby, health and fitness, or just for curiosity; we encourage and welcome all people from all walks of life to grow with us and allow us to share our love of the sport with you.

What Jiu-Jitsu/ Grappling styles do you teach?
Sport Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi and Catch As Catch Can Wrestling are taught at Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club.
How many times do I have to train each week?
Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club does not have a specific training requirement. If you train one time per week you will learn some skills. However, if you train three to five times each week, you will learn at a much more accelerated pace. We understand that people often have very busy schedules, so we just encourage you to train as often as you can. We believe that training three times each week produces good results for most people.
Will I get hurt?
Our goal is to keep you safe from injury so you can keep coming back on the mat to learn! Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling, and Judo are full-body contact sports, and all full-body contact sports carry a risk of injury. Our priority is to provide a safe, friendly environment that emphasizes technical mastery and respect for the safety of training partners.
Do you have classes for people with no experience?
Yes! Our classes accommodate all skill levels, even first-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Catch Wrestling students.
What is the youngest age for your kids programs?
The youngest age for our Kids Submission Arts Wrestling program is 5 years old.
What do you teach in your kids programs?
Our Submission Arts Wrestling for Kids programs teaches techniques your child can utilize for defensive purposes. Our SAW kids program emphasizes teaching kids how to defuse confrontations with words. We also teach kids non-violent Submission Grappling techniques to neutralize their threat so they can control the situation until help arrives. Most importantly, our Kids Submission Arts Wrestling program helps build up your child's confidence. SAW for kids teaches kids how a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique.
